If you have the opportunity to travel, do it.
Why?
Because you will rarely meet people who say they hate traveling. And there is a reason why they don’t.
Sure, some may complain about the stresses or hassles of traveling (airports, travel time, etc.) but you will never hear them complain about the excitement or joy they felt while exploring new lands.
Some may say: “it’s not my thing” or “I’m not really interested in it” or “I don’t have the money for it” but more often than not, these statements tend to come from people who have never really given traveling a chance.
And about the money thing, is it really that there is no money for it? Or is it that any extra money available is being spent on state of the art appliances, new cars, unnecessarily big houses, $2 sodas… every day, etc.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that automatic vacuum cleaners or nice homes are unworthy spendings. What I am saying is: Excitement from materialistic items loose value with time, while memories don’t.
Discovering the world with all it’s shapes and colours is unforgettable because it expands the mind and creates new awarenesses.
Traveling is a privilege. A privilege that isn’t given to everyone and that is why I say, if you have the opportunity to travel, do it.
I’m pretty sure you, your partner or even your kids won’t regret it.
“It’s better to see something once than to hear about it a thousand times.”
With lots of smiles,
Pam 🙂
