The Quickest and Easiest Way to Happiness

gratitude

Today I took a short spontaneous walk through the forest near my house.

With Spotify playing my classical music playlist, I began walking while looking up at the sun smiling down at me. The forest has a bare look from the fallen leaves of Winter and the birds are more visible than ever.

The spontaneous walk was inspired by a surge of overwhelming gratitude that came over me as I sat in the tram on my way home. The last months have been a special time in my life because I have found myself in a stage of peeling away from conditioned beliefs and discovering new truths. The time of change has left me vulnerable to the beauty of everything that is within – and without me.

Life is a true gift and there are seriously so many things to be grateful for.

Today I am grateful for:

The Sun, Blue Sky and Birds

Nature is humbling.

Communication and Respect in a Relationship

Tobi and I had an argument today about a project we are working on together. We were both incredibly frustrated and wanted to kick each other in the shins. Seriously. We took a few minutes to calm down and restarted our conversation that resulted in understanding and growth. I am so grateful for the person Tobi is and the relationship we have built together.

Friendship

Great friends truly do become a second family and the love and support I receive from my friendships is what helps me stay on my path. To all my great friends, thank you so much.

Books

Last month I read The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and I am currently reading The Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire: Harnessing the Infinite Power of Coincidence by Deepak Chopra and both books have added immense truth and value to my life.

Running Water

Our running water was turned off  yesterday for almost the whole day and it was annoying. I never realised how many times I use water in a day until I kept going to turn on the faucet only for nothing to come out. It reminded me that not everyone has running water and I am very lucky for it.

My Parents

On Tuesday I went to watch the Lion with a few friends and I was touched by the poor stricken slums of India and the thousands of lost children each year. I am so grateful to have been born with both, my mom and dad by my side. I am also grateful for the manner in which my parents raised me as it has shaped the positive and negative traits of who I am today.

Saying GRATITUDE everyday is the easiest and quickest way to happiness.

Whether it’s a good day or a bad day, there is always something to be grateful for.

Now, I’m honestly curious to know what YOU’RE grateful for! Please share below or you can also send me a message. 🙂

Thank you for reading and I wish you all a fabulous weekend!
Pam 🙂
