Today on a Marie Forleo podcast episode, Marie told the story of the time during her book tour where she proudly told the audience “I love money”.
She mentioned how the audience went silent. Like crickets chirping type of silent.
Most likely confused.
Most likely unsure of how to respond.
Because, wait, what? Someone is admitting to loving money?
Loving money feels so wrong. It feels like if we love money, we must be like the characters in real life and on tv who get rich on the back of others.
But that is not true. Building wealth or getting rich can be done ethically. In fact, the more money we get, the more money we can give back.
The podcast episode made me rethink my views on my own story surrounding money.
